Our 1250Sqm workshop has 9 different styles of hi-lift ramps allowing us to cater for all types of mechanical work. We have the latest in automotive diagnostics equipment, with highly trained technicians, allowing us to carry out complex repair work.
We work on an appointment basis, with customers able to easily book by phone, text, email, web-form or in person.
We have a large customer car-park with a central location to town making finding us easy and convenient if you’re waiting around.

About Us
We have been a family run business for over 12 years. Maltech was started back in 2007 when Mal was helping a lad in another garage.
Next door worked Gavin Buckley who one day said “I hate it here!”. Half joking Mal said “come on I’ll open a place and you can come work for me”
We started off in a small unit but quickly outgrew this. We moved into our Brunswick street workshop in 2010 where Mal and Gav worked for a further 7 years until in 2014 Gav left to become an AA patrol man.
2015 saw Mal take on the unit next door and refurbish it to a high standard to carry out the specialist diagnostic and repair work in the clean purpose use environment.
Mal was then joined By Kev and Alex who continued to work for Mal until 2020, Alex leaving due to health reasons and Kevin Left to move into a management position at a fast fit tyre garage.
Mal was also joined in 2019 By John who was taken on to run the office admin side of things to allow Mal to return to the shop floor.
Early 2020 saw Mal joined By Phil and James and that’s the team we continue to have to the current day!
Our honesty, friendliness and integrity is why people return to us time and time again.
Our Staff
Mal is the owner and specialises in the more technical side of the business from tuning to timing belts mal is comfortable with any job, as well as running the business, Mal is committed to trying his best to provide a one hop shop for all your mechanical and electrical needs. And is always on hand to discuss things with customers and staff in laymans terms and explain costings etc.
John is the site manager with over 30 years of management experience including Halfords & Euro car parts, john came to Maltech as a step back from high pressure management positions to run the reception but has quickly became a key member of staff in both workshop and office.
James is workshop technician who is more than capable of any mechanical tasks from servicing, brakes, clutches to tyres springs and bulbs. James has a extensive background working I both main dealer environment aswell as mobile service technician for fleet companies.
